general thoughts/questions/first blog
hello- well done anna for setting this up and david for all your productiveness already..
i don't have much to say but will hopefully be around to go and visit potential free range/truman brewery space sometime over holidays when ali knows when that is.. anyone else who is around too in london come too- good to have a group..
definately think free range makes sense for all the obvious reasons- promotion, location etc so hope we can get it..
david or bea: do you know a deadline for these topman t-shirts? sounds great.. what an opportunity
anna: what's this playstation thing you mentioned in the studio?

EXHIBITION PROPOSAL
FUNDRAISING- this week I will be putting together a proposal for funding to the college this week for our exhibition. I would like to include all of the many outstanding achievments from our illustration class in the proposal to strenghen our case for financial support. So if you have had your work published or exhibited recently, please send me images of your work asap! Im particulary after work by Zoe, Echao and Cat who all had their work shortlisted for the V&A Student Illustrator of the year! if im missing you out then get in touch, it would be great to mention as many names as possible! send jpegs to: david.fulford3@btinternet.com

TOPMAN T-SHIRTS!
FUNDRAISING- Bea has recently been in touch with 'Topman' who are interested to support our little exhibition! they have comissioned our class to produce a series of printed t-shirts to sell in the oxford circus store. all we have to do is send them a collection of t-shirt designs from which they will choose 6 designs to be made and sold in the shop. Topman will donate £150 for each design towards our exhibition and catalogue, potentially a grand total of £850! so get out your crayolas and start scribbling! and when your happy your designs are finished and looking stunning(with no going over the lines!) send them to: pinkabell60@hotmail.com

Minutes 7. 12.
For those who missed the meeting or need a refreshment:
The dates for our college show: 16th june: set up
26th June: taking down.
Outside show must be either before or, preferably after as it will include the same pieces.
Everybody will need to contribute 100 pounds to be in the show and the catalogue. Money will go chiefly towards the catalogue printing and the venue. More money needed will need to be raised. If anybody has got any connections or ideas, please post them here or get in touch with the fundraising sponsorship team. Or just go for it and procure huge sums of money for our show :)
Ali spoke to the Truman Brewery for a space in the Free Range. Prices vary from 2000 up to 20.000. Free range is split into four weeks: design, Photography, Art and mixed. Timewise we'd aim for the mixed. However the availability of spaces still needs to be confirmed.
The catalogue team have done some research. Currently the most favoured idea seems to be postcards assembled in some way or other. Lucy looked into prices: 1000 for 77, Caspar knows 5000 for 95. It will have to be the same image, however.
David has met the Dean, Christopher Sharrock, who is inclined to compensate for our not-so-brilliant time last year by helping out in some ways.
David also got offers from "less common" and the "artist and illusrtator magazine" who waNt to feature our degree work.
Bea may have an opportunity to get sponsorship from topman. In return the may want us to do limited edition t shirts. But Bea will specify this later.
Caspar has 2 professional PA Systems and a stage that we can use for the show (and if i got it right, for fundraising, too).
After that the issue of bands, djs and music at the show and fundraisers came up and I lost track. Sorry.
